JUDGES CRITIQUE - MR S GODBER

I would like to thank the Committee of this Club for inviting me to Judge at this Show and congratulations on the new venue, easy to find and a very good Hall with excellent lighting. Thank you for the excellent entry and the quality at the Show on the day. I had no health concerns with the exhibits at all. A thank also must go to my very efficient Stewards.

MINOR PUPPY DOG: 4 entries 1Abs.
1: Bishop's: Orinell's lets Tango At Shojo (Imp): Just 6 months old and at his first show. Good cream colour in excellent profuse puppy coat. Very good bone. Small thick ears and a well- padded muzzle with a lovely head type. Showed very well. Just needs to grow on but still just a baby.
2: William's: Bojinghai Catch the Dream For Yontan: Another 6 month old puppy. Pleasing head and expression with well- placed ears but not as thick as the winners. Good bone, lovely shape, well set tail. Showed well.
3: Adcock's: Bojinghai Rough Diamond:

PUPPY DOG: 4 Entries
1: Parson's: Jenrene's Mighty Joe: Blue Dog just changing coat at the moment. Lovely to go over, well boned with width back and front. Good head, well- padded muzzle but not overdone in any way. Well placed thick ears. Clean Dark eyes. Correct tail set. Moved and showed well. One to watch for the future.Best Puppy in Show.

2: Absalom's: Irins Akvamarin Ermitazh At Wengeordy (Imp Rus): Self Red of reasonable size. Stood four square. Good Bone. Pleasing head type with thick well placed ears. Between coats at the moment which detracts.
3: Cook & Edwards: Sylvric Total Eclipse:

NOVICE DOG: 3 Entries
1: Cook & Edwards: Sylvric Total Eclipse: Placed third in the previous class. Lovely head type with thick well placed ears. Clean dark eyes. Well off for bone.
2: MacDonald's: Cowdenchow William Wallace: Quite a strong head with a flat skull. Well off for bone. Very down on his pasterns and movement not positive.
3: Fisher's: Zhenshi Special Agent At Poppykins:

GRADUATE DOG: 3 Entries 2 Abs.
1: Lovell's Jamarhys Float like a Kimama at Pamlor: Black Dog with a good head. Flat skull, no exaggeration. Quite well balanced with good bone and width back and front.

POST GRADUATE DOG: 4 Entries
1: Brown's Kwaitang Kansas: Nice Type. Shaded red of good size. Very nice shape in profile. Liked his head type which is not overdone but has some strength. Well placed thick ears and flat skull. Clean dark eyes. Steady mover. Showed well.
2: Jakeman's Mai-xing Dark Intentions Amongst Tanlap: Black with a good head and expression. Well balanced. Lost out on behaviour it was difficult to assess movement he was behaving erratically despite owner's hard work. Saw enough to award him second.
3: Lovell's Jamarhys Float like a Kimama at Pamlor:

LIMIT DOG: 3 Entries: (1 Trans to Open)
1: Cummins: Dragonsway Prince Charming ShCM: Shaded red of good size. Good head type not overdone. Moved well back and front with width. Eyes clean and dark. Nice expression.
2: Heims: Miketilla Mondrian At Brunita: Self Red of good size, comments made for first place winner equally apply but preferred movement on 1.

SPECIAL OPEN DOG AOC: 2 entries 1Abs.
1: Douse's: Norskov's Foni Baloni At Shasadee (Imp): Black dog with excellent bone and balance. Stronger head type, with a well- padded muzzle, flat skull and dark eyes. Good Tail set. Moved well on the rear but not so positive on the front. Very well behaved and handled well.

OPEN DOG: 7 (1 Trans) 1Abs
What a lovely Class to Judge and that is why my CC and RCC winner came from this Class
. 1: Taylor's IR Ch Cladev's Starstruck with Taylorian: I have seen this boy previously from the ringside and hoped he would develop into the dog he is now becoming. He still has some maturing to do being less than 2 years of age. What a fabulous dark red, not seen very often these days. I loved his head and balance. Small thick ears finish the lovely head type. Ears, mouth and pigment all correct. Neat cat like feet. Moved very well at his own pace. Awarded him the CC but at the end of the day his hormones got the better of him for RBIS and he settled for BOS. Look forward to seeing him fully mature and coat fully changed.
2: Clucas's Ch Simauta Dess Rizhii Shum For Hiswin (Imp Rus): Light shaded red in profuse coat. Bigger dog than 1and a different head type. Flat skull, thick ears and well boned. A lot of good points on this dog and he showed well on the day. He was unlucky to meet the Class winner in such good form.
3: Richards: Mai-xing L'Unico-El Sol at Charrids;

1: Lindsay's: JDLindchow Chang Peng: Another self- red dog. Width back and front and of a good size. Pleasing head with thick ears and clean dark eyes. Showed well.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH: 2 Entries
1: Humphries: Kesals Jorja: Light shaded red, 6 month old very compact puppy. Lovely head with well-placed thick ears. Good balance with a neck which she used. Well up on her toes. Moved and showed very well.
2: Ellis's: Bojinghai Auroras Dream: Another very nice puppy. Black and a super shape. Good bone. Eyes clear and dark. Moved and showed well, just preferred the ears on the first place winner.

PUPPY BITCH: 4 Entries 1 Abs:
1: Finlay's: Finchow Florence: Good sized black bitch. Clean dark eyes. Good shape and outline. Excellent tail set, well up on her toes. Showed well.
2: Heims: Kwaitang Krabbie Apple at Brunita: Red Shaded of good size. Ears placed well. Nice expression. Stood four square, had width. Lacking coat particularly on her back end which did detract.
3: Carr's: Kwaitang Katerina:

NOVICE BITCH: 1 Entry
1: Ellis's: Emjacques Princess Aurora at Bojinghai: Liked this bitch. Handled very well by her handler. Sweet feminine expression with good clear dark eyes. Nice thick well placed ears. Well balanced with good bone. Tail set correct.

GRADUATE BITCH: 3 Entries 1 Abs
1: Humphries: Kesals Ebony Eyes: Liked this bitch a lot and she was my RCC winner. It was a shame that both my first and second winners met in the same class they could easily change places on a different day. My winner had a super head with thick ears placed well, clean dark eyes, sufficient padding on her muzzle to remain feminine. Short coupled with excellent bone for her size. Move and showed so well and was also RBIS.
2: Hollies & Carr's: Chopans Cherub of Tashi: A cream turned out to perfection by her owners. Lovely head and expression, my comments for the first place could equally be for this one to. However overall I preferred the movement on my first place winner. It was one of the difficult decisions of the day.

POST GRADUATE BITCH: 4 Entries 2 Abs 1 w/d

1: Blight's: Rosechow Ayla: Light shaded red of good size. Stood four square, well up on her toes. Lovely head and expression. Ears thick and well placed. Clean dark eyes. Moved and sowed well.

LIMIT BITCH: 3 Entries 1 Abs
1: Sweeney's: Chowetha Million Memories: Good sized red bitch who stood very square. Good head and sweet expression, very attentive to her owner. Mouth &Pigmentation good, clean dark eyes. Used her ears well. Correct tail set. In good coat. Not as short in body as I would like and a little long in hock to be ideal for me, however a worthy winner.
2: Douse's Shasadee Dhimond Tee Arra: Smaller bitch than the winner but still of good size. More profuse coat. Good ears and expression. Width front and back. Movement ok.

SP OPEN AOC THAN RED BITCH: 1 Entry
1: Williamson's: CH Dejoh Dior: My critique notes state Cream Bitch, perfection, one I would take home. This is the first time I have had the privilege of judging this beautiful bitch. She is now 5 years old and in her prime. Sadly Joanne (her breeder/owner) did not see her at the Shows but she would have been extremely proud of this one. She was handled very ably by Mary Robbins not her usual handler but she did a very good job. I could use so many words to describe this one but as I have said before "Perfection" in my opinion. CC winner and BIS.

1: Mumford's: Ch Chowawen Stary Lane: What a lovely head on this bitch. My type. Ears well placed and thick. Flat skull. Clean dark eyes. Very good feet. A lot to like and a worthy champion. Moved ok.
2: Taylor's: Ir Ch Taylorian Showgirl: Good sized upstanding bitch with lots to like about her. Not the substance of the class winner but a nice shape. Mouth, pigment and ears all correct. Clean eyes. Nice tight feet. Moved and showed very well.

1: Mumford's: Shardan Miss Millie of Chowawen: 8 year old red bitch in good coat and active for her age. Nice type of head with good clean eyes, flat skull and used her ears well. Moved well and showed well. Best Veteran in Show.
